Wahoo, weekend!

Friday night: eating homemade spinach-and-fruit salad (Dad’s recipe) and Hungry Jack casserole (Mom’s recipe); participating in the Taizé service of prayer, song, and meditation at the Congregational Church in Batavia; and just hanging out with Dad and Niki.

Saturday afternoon/evening: preparing enchilada casserole and spanish rice for dinner with Ron and Dad; going to the ESO concert featuring the music of Sibelius.

Sunday morning/afternoon: attending church and enjoying a music-filled service at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Elgin; stopping briefly at the fall artisan market; and then heading to the “funny hats” themed birthday party for “The Flash,” an adorable child in our expanded neighborhood who has just turned 6 years old.

And the fun doesn’t end there!  We have a FOUR DAY WEEKEND including Monday and Tuesday, with no plans for structuring either day!
